Composting is an environmentally-friendly and natural way of returning nutrients to the soil.
Compost is a speeded-up method of mimicking nature's cycle of life and death. Raw materials such as yard waste, grass clippings, uncooked vegetables and other raw materials can be turned into a dark, loose, partially decomposed form of organic matter. Actions of micro-organisms and macro-organisms convert raw organic matter into finished compost. Exposed to a proper amount of oxygen, moisture and nutrients, the raw organic matter achieves maximum decomposition. See also
