Drought-resistent plants are basically desert plans.
Plants which can survive extended drought periods with little or no water. Many such plants originate in the deserts of the U.S. and Mexico, Sahara and sub-Saharan regions, Arabian Peninsula, and parts of the Asian steppes. These are true desert plants.
