Evergreens, for the most part, are mostly conifers in colder temperate regions.

Evergreens are trees and shrubs that do not lose their leaves. Each leave or needle lasts 12 months or longer.

In many tropical regions and rainforests, most of the plants are evergreen, even broad-leafed ones.
