Simcha Blass

Israeli water engineer Simcha Blass and his son, Yeshayahu, are credited with the development of a modern drip irrigation system in 1959. The firm they created, Netafin, contracted with the Kibbutz Hatzerim to install a drip irrigation system for the Kibbutz's agricultural operation and to fabricate drip irrigation systems for the world market.
