Visualize A Desert in Your Yard

It's easy if you follow simple techniques

A desert garden should emulate a desert. But instead of starting with rolling dunes and lack of water, you should visualize the oasis first.

There are three parts to a desert garden:

Oasis

Transition zone

Arid Zone

And, a desert garden is not just rocks and cacti. There are many plants that fit all three categories. These plants have different characteristics, have different water requirements, and thrive in different kinds of soil.

However, don't panic. If you can visualize a desert, you can begin designing your desert garden.
